I should be telling everyone this, telling them that it was my fault for not being cautious enough, for not properly destroying Messiah. I've caused them all so much pain and suffering, and I'm about to cause them more.
But at least they'll be alive.

I look at Kuroki again, finally, meeting his gaze and trying to read what he's thinking, what he's feeling. I'm not sure what I'm expecting from him, and I guess it... doesn't much matter in the long run, now, how he feels on the matter.
